Wikipedia Assessments at East Anglia March 11, 2007

Posted by Johan in Off Topic.

Politics Postgrads at the University of East Anglia are being assessed in part by their contributions to Wikipedia. It’s quite amusing to see how divided the academic world is on the matter of Wikipedia. On my course, we were explicitly warned by one professor not to use Wikipedia as a source, while another tried to interest us in contributing content.

Perhaps that sums up the consensus on the site: it’s great if you contribute, help with disseminating research etc, but you shouldn’t believe anything you read there.
